Learning from the ground up: Platform Fundamentals

Hey Devs,

I’m giving my Salesforce.com developer account a test run by doing the Force.com Platform Fundamentals Workbook. Not gonna lie, the first few chapters were a little slow, but once we started creating formulas and validation rules I was hooked.

Hands down the best part of this experience was logging into salesforce.com on my phone using the Salesforce1 app. I was like, ooooo, look what I’ve done (without really doing anything specific to mobile development)! I cannot believe it was all done using the basic declarative steps. Salesforce1 rocks!

I hope to be done with the Force.com Platform Fundamentals Workbook by early next week. Then, I will decide what to move onto next…. maybe the Wharehouse app in the Force.com Workbook, just to reinforce everything I’ve recently learned, or the Salesforce1 Mobile App Workbook just because mobile is so popular.
