Link your social profiles to your Salesforce Success Community profile.
Hey Devs,
I wanted to take the time to explain a few things about your Salesforce Success Community profile, your Trailhead profile, your LinkedIn profile and how all of those things can work together.
Pretty much when it comes to these profiles we are talking about the integration of three different things:
- Your Trailhead profile, which is what houses all of your badges.
- Your Success Community profile, where you have joined groups and participate via Chatter.
- Your LinkedIn profile.
First up, how to link your social profiles to your Success Community profile:
- Log in to the Success Community
- Navigate to your Profile
- Navigate to Work and Experience
- Scroll Down to the Social section and input the url for the social networks you want to connect.
- Click Save Changes
We will focus on LinkedIn here, but you can do this for Twitter and Facebook too. The result will be the LinkedIn logo showing in your Success Community Profile as shown below. When clicked it will open a tab to display your LinkedIn profile.
1) Log in to the Success Community.
2) Navigate to your Profile by clicking your name or My Profile.
3) Navigate to Work and Experience in the Edit menu.
4) Scroll Down to the Social section and input the url for the social networks you want to connect.
5) Save your changes.
Please note that your linked in url is found just beneath your LinkedIn profile photo.
Test your URL(s) by clicking on the social media icons from within the Success Community Profile.
Enjoy your newly upgraded profile!
Please visit Salesforce Success Community,Trailhead, and LinkedIn: Part 2 where I talk about displaying your Trailhead profile badges within in the Salesforce Success Community.
Till next time...
